Network Topology| Shadow Cyber Security

A network topology is the physical, connections in a network and logical arrangement of nodes. Nodes usually includes devices such as switches, router features, routers and software with switch. Network topological are often represented graph.

"Types of network topology?"

Logical and physical. Network topology refers to the geometric arrangements of links and nodes in a computing network, network topology may describe  how the data is transferred between these nodes.

"Which topology is best?"

The best topology is the star topology. This is because it is easier to control from a central console as the management software just needs to communicate with the switch to get full traffic management features.

"Why network topology is important?"

Network topology helps us understand two things, first is it allows us to understand the different elements of our networks, second is where they connect, it shows us how they interact and what we can expect from their performance.

"What is topology used for?"

This is used for differentiable equations, dynamical systems , Riemann surfaces in complex analysis and knot theory. It is also used in string theory in physics and for describing the space time structure of universe.

"What is diagram with topology?"

This is a visual representation of a network's devices, paths and connections, this allowing you to picture how devices are inter connected and how they communicate with one another.

"What are the three network typologies?"

Three types of network typologies is star, bus and ring.

"which is the fastest topology"

Fastest topology is a star topology. Devices in a star topology are connected to a central switch or hub and all inter connection is done through that central hub. In it data transmission is faster.

"What is the cheapest topology?"

Cheapest topology is Bus topology with a one to one ratio of devices to drop lines, this topology requires less cable than other typologies, reducing the installation time and expenses. In it adding new devices to the network is also straightforward.

"Advantages of Bus topology"

It works very efficiently well when there is a small network. It is easy to connect or a remove devices in this network without affecting any other device. Length of cable required is less than a star topology. This is a cost effective as compared to other network topology.

"How does network topology work?"

Network topology is a substantial arrangement of a network on which all the nodes are connected with each other using network connecting lines or links, network topology also explains how the data is transferred in a network.

"What is the topology give example?"

Examples of topology includes star, tree, ring, mesh, point to point, hybrid, circular and bus topology networks, each consisting of different configurations of needs. The network topology depends on each business's size, goals, scale and budget.

"What is called topology?"

Topology studies properties of spaces that are invariant under any continuous deformation. This is a sometimes called "rubber sheet geometry" because the objects can be stretched. The contracted like rubber but can be broken.

Physical topology is the placement of the various components of network while logically topology illustrates hoe data flows within the network. It is an application of graph theory wherein communicating devices are modeled as nodes and the connections between are modeled as links.

Types of Topology

1. Bus Topology :- In this topology all computer are connected by a signal length of cable with a determined at each end. This is also known as line topology is a type of network topology in which all devices in the network are connected by one central RJ- 45 network cable or Coaxial cable. The single cable, where all data is transmitted between devices is referred to as the bus, trunk or backbone.

Examples of Bus Topology, bus topology is connecting two floors through a single line, In this topology is one computer in the network works as a server and other computers behave as clients.

"Where is Bus topology"

This is a network setup where each computer and network device is connected to a single cable or backbone. This depending on the type of computer network card, RJ-45 network cable is used to connect them together or coaxial cable.

2. Ring Topology :- In this topology a series of device are connected to one another by a unidirectional transmitted link from to from a signal eased loop it is very similitude to bus topology ,except that two ends of the network connected to from a complete ring. This is a type of network topology in which each device is connected to two other devices on either side via an RJ-45 cable or coaxial cable. Data is commonly transferred in one direction along the ring, this is unidirectional ring.

"What is ring topology?"

This is a type of network topology in which each device is connected to two other devices on either side via an RJ-45 cable or coaxial cable

"Example of ring topology?"

In a Ring topology, each device is connected to two other devices in a circular fashion.

3. Star Topology :- In this topology it is lane cable in which the computer node on a network are connected to a common central hub the provided path b/w any two devices to communicated. Network topology in which each network component is physically connected to a central node such as a router, hub or switch. In a star topology, the central hub acts like a server and connecting nodes act like clients.

"What is star Topology"

This is a network topology in which each network component is physically connected to a central node such as a router, hub or switch. In a star topology, the central hub acts like a server and connecting nodes act like clients.

"Examples of star Topology"

This is a topology for a local area network in which all nodes are individually connected to a central connection point, like a hub or a switch.

4. Mesh Topology :- In this topology each computer is connected to the other computer with separate physical link in a network ,it can send data  from one computer to several other computer  to the network traffic because each communication carry it on load.

"What is mesh topology?"

This is a network setup where each computer and network device is interconnected with one another. This is allows for most transmissions to be distributed even if one of the connections goes down. It is a topology commonly used for wireless networks.

"Examples of mesh topology?"

This is the connection of telephone regional offices in which each regional office needs to be connected to every other regional office.

 5. Tree Topology :- In this topology a tree topology is a type of network topology that include at-least three specific label in this topology hierarchy. topology or star bus topology is a hybrid network topology in which star networks are interconnected via bus networks. Tree networks are hierarchical and each node can have an arbitrary number of child nodes.

"What are Tree topology?"

A tree topology or star bus topology is a hybrid network topology in which star networks are interconnected via bus networks. Tree networks are hierarchical and each node can have an arbitrary number of child nodes.

 "Advantages of Tree Topology?"

As leaf nodes can add more nodes in the hierarchical chain. It provides easy maintenance and fault identification. Supported by several hardware and software vendors.

6. Hybrid Topology :- In this topology it is combination of two hybrid network is build on click server relationship. This is a type of network topology that uses two or more differing networks topologies. These can include a mix of bus topology, mesh topology, star topology, ring topology and tree topology.

"Hybrid Topology?"

This is a type of network topology that uses two or more differing networks topologies. These can include a mix of bus topology, mesh topology, star topology, ring topology and tree topology.
